Jonah is a current recipient of the Calleo Indigenous Bursary assisted by the Gallipoli Scholarship Fund. He is a rugby league player with a dream of becoming an NRL player. It is with great excitement that he has been signed with the NRL team Canterbury Bulldogs for two years.
The bursary has assisted a lot, with the scholarship money allowing for more hours to be committed to university studies and rugby league instead of working a part-time/full-time job. He is forever grateful for the ongoing support of his university as well as his rugby league career.
He is currently doing well in his Bachelor of Exercises and Sports Science at University of Queensland. He is finishing off his assignments and studying for final exams before he leaves for Sydney in early November. He was honoured to be named the Hastings Deering Colts Player of the Year. View award.
